Admission to Year 7 is coordinated through the local authority’s secondary school admissions process. Parents and carers should complete the Common Application Form and list St Cuthbert Mayne as their preferred school. As places are often highly sought after, families are encouraged to apply by the published deadline.
As a joint Catholic and Church of England school, St Cuthbert Mayne offers a faith-based admissions route for families wishing to apply on the grounds of religious commitment. Applicants seeking consideration under the school’s faith criteria should also complete a Supplementary Information Form, which may require confirmation from a parish priest or minister. This enables applications to be considered in accordance with the school’s published admissions policy.
If you are applying for a place based on faith criteria you will need to download and complete the Supplementary Information Form at the bottom of this page. This should be completed by your Parish Priest or Minister and returned to our Admissions Officer by 31st October.
You will be notified of the outcome of your application on National Allocation Day which is 1st March 2027.
We welcome applications for in year admissions from students seeking to join the school during Years 7–11. Whether families are moving into the area or looking for a change of school, applications are considered throughout the academic year, subject to the availability of places and the school’s admissions criteria. Our admissions team works closely with families to ensure a smooth and successful transition into school life.
To apply for places within the academic year, please complete and submit the in-year application form below. The application process will take up to 10 days. If you have any questions, please contact our admissions team.
