Learning extends far beyond the classroom at St Cuthbert Mayne! Students are encouraged to take part in a wide range of enrichment opportunities that we are lucky enough to be able to offer.

Students enjoy can a variety of educational visits including trips to Parliament, Spaceport Cornwall and the theatre, as well as exciting international travel opportunities such as skiing on the Italian slopes, perusing Paris and school swaps in Spain. 

Year 7 students take part in a day of outdoor activities at Grenville House, helping them to build even more new friendships and confidence in their first year with us.

There is the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, gaining valuable experiences through adventure and personal challenge.

Students can make a positive difference in the community through a range of volunteering and fundraising projects which support local charities and communities throughout the year.

There are also so many opportunities to get involved within the school too! With musical performances to be a part of, sports teams to join and competitions to get involved in, our students get the chance to showcase their talents or find a new passion!

These experiences help students discover new interests, broaden their horizons, and make the most of school life beyond the classroom.

School Clubs

There are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved in activities outside of lessons. Our lunchtime and after-school clubs offer something for a wide range of interests, from sport, music and performing arts to STEM, creative activities and academic support.
