  • Key Stage 4 Pathways

As students move from Year 9 into Year 10, they begin an important stage in their education: choosing the GCSE subjects they will study at Key Stage 4 (KS4).

Our KS4 Pathways Guide is designed to help Year 9 students and their families understand the options available and make informed decisions about the subjects they would like to study.

The guide explains the core curriculum, which includes the subjects all students must study, alongside the optional subjects students can choose based on their interests, strengths and future ambitions.

It also provides information about GCSE grading, what to consider when choosing subjects and how these choices can support future pathways into Sixth Form, further education, apprenticeships and careers.

We encourage students to take their time exploring their options and discussing their choices with parents and carers. Form Tutors and Subject Teachers are also available to offer guidance and answer any questions.

Explore our KS4 Pathways Guide below to find out more about the subjects available and how to make the right choices for your future.
